This island has a interesting history. It use to be a leper colony but when the French came here it is rumored that they poisoned all the lepers. It is mainly inhabited by Australians and New Zealanders...with their holiday houses and small resorts like the one we went to. Ni vans tend not to live there.

I did not know that Aora was a leper colony and that it is mainly inhabited by Australians and New Zealanders.
